2.2 Setting Up Shop

2.2.1 Installation

Once you’ve got your prerequisites covered, installation should be a doddle:

If you run into problems regarding libgcrypt then you may to specify its location using configure’s --with-libgcrypt-prefix argument.

2.2.2 Running Glean

After installing Glean you should be able to fire it up. At present starting Glean involves starting its three parts (see The Client, see The Lounge, see The Library):

2.2.3 Glean’s Configuration & Runtime Files

Glean’s program files are installed in the usual directories on your system.

Once Glean has been run for the first time it will also commandeer the .glean subdirectory of your home directory (i.e. ~/.glean/).
